Botox Cosmetic

This is the perfect treatment for fine lines and wrinkles in the area of the forehead, crow’s feet, and frown lines. Botox puts the activity of the facial muscle to sleep relieving wrinkles, takes 7-10 days to take effect, and results are wonderful! This treatment can also be used to prevent excessive armpit sweating.

What to expect at your first visit

Procedure:

  1. Ice is applied to the treatment area for 5-10 mins to prevent bruising and to offer a numbing effect to minimize any potential pain.

  2. The area will be cleansed thoroughly, so it is ok to wear make up to your appointment.

  3. Using a very small needle, injections of small amounts of Botox Cosmetic are made into the treatment area. 3-5 injections per treatment area.

  4. Dr. Laura will make sure that the injection sites are properly cleaned as signs of the treatment fade away in just a few minutes.

  5. Aftercare: Let it set into the muscle and avoid rubbing the area. Unless it’s absolutely necessary, we recommend waiting to put make up back on for at least a few hours. Different practitioners have different aftercare instructions.
